Mizuno JPX EZ Forged Irons

With the release of the new JPX EZ Forged irons, Mizuno is using a special ingredient to create more distance and forgiveness without sacrificing feel.

The 2013 version of the JPX EZ irons were forged from 1025E stainless steel and featured an undercut behind the face. The new version of the JPX EZ Forged irons, which will be in stores Sept. 18, benefit from the inclusion of Boron, which when blended with the stainless steel, helps to produce a material that 30 percent stronger.

“With the addition of Boron into the 2015 JPX EZ Forged irons, we were able to get thinner with the face and mill extremely close to the face,” said Chris Voshall, Mizuno’s senior golf club engineer.
