WOBURN, England – Mirim Lee was a shadow of her first-round self on the second day of the $3 million Ricoh Women’s Open.
It’s never easy to follow a 10-under-par 62.
Lee was nine shots worse, returning a 1-under-par 71. It was good enough to take the 36-hole lead on 11-under-par. She is one shot ahead of Shanshan Feng and Ariya Jutanugarn. Scotland’s Catriona Matthew is one shot further back in fourth place on 9-under-par tied with Ha Na Jang.
Lee was flawless in round one, making 10 birdies and no bogeys over the Marquess Course.
