REUNION, Fla. – At this point the ANNIKA Invitational Presented by 3M is largely decided. With USC, an annual juggernaut, 17 ahead with one round to go, any result besides a Trojans victory seems rather unlikely.
But in the non-USC division, one team is putting on a stellar performance of its own. That would belong to Texas A&M, a group that's posted a 12-under two-day total and would hold a three-shot lead on the field if the Trojans weren't on the premises.
No small feat against this insanely talented 12-team field. The Aggies are reigning SEC Champions and boast five NCAA Championship appearances in the last six years, but on paper don't appear to have the firepower of a Duke, a Stanford or a UCLA.
