As Australia’s Min Woo Lee competed at the U.S. Junior Amateur in Ooltewah, Tenn., his biggest fan was more than nine hours away in Gurnee, Ill.
That fan is Lee’s older sister Minjee, who is representing Australia in the LPGA’s UL International Crown this week near Chicago. And since Minjee couldn’t be at The Honors Course in person, she opted to cheer for her brother via social media, posting words of encouragement after each day.
“Good luck to my little bro for the #USJuniorAm final! Always your #1 fan regardless,” Minjee wrote after Min Woo, 17, advanced to Saturday’s championship match against Noah Goodwin, 16, of Corinth, Texas.
