ORLANDO, Fla. - Phil Mickelson is on the commitment list for next week's Players Championship. He's remains unsure if he will be playing the tournament.
Mickelson said Friday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational that he plans to play a practice round on Tuesday to assess whether he wants to tee it up in the PGA Tour's flagship event.
"I'll play nine (holes) and take a look . .. I want to play it, but if I hit it like this, it's pointless, so I've got to figure something out.''
Mickelson shot 78 Friday after opening the tournament with a 68 and was outside of the projected cut line at 146, 2 over par.
