CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After missing the cut last week at The Players Phil Mickelson reflected on the difficulty of TPC Sawgrass.
“I can’t believe I’ve actually won here,” he said last Friday.
On Wednesday, Mickelson couldn’t help but notice the paradox between his record on the Stadium Course, where he won in 2007, and at Quail Hollow, where in 11 tries he’s never found the winner’s circle.
“The irony of the situation, I’ve actually won at Sawgrass, which is just unbelievable,” he said after the pro-am at the Wells Fargo Championship.
