Rocco Mediate won his maiden PGA Tour Champions major this past week at the Senior PGA Championship and gave credit to a good friend.
“Mr. Trump. Obviously, our next president. That guy,” Mediate said Wednesday to Matt Adams on “Fairways of Life.”
Mediate opened the Senior PGA with a 9-under 62 and won the event at Harbor Shores wire-to-wire. Prior to his second round, Mediate said he received a call from the presumptive Republican nominee for president.
“So he calls and he goes, ‘Hey, listen, just wanted to say, great playing yesterday.
