From start to finish, it was Adam Svensson’s week at Web.com Tour Q-School.
The Canadian finished off a dominant wire-to-wire performance on Sunday at PGA National, firing a final-round 73 on the Champion Course to finish off a seven-shot victory at the pressure-packed event in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Svensson, 21, wasn’t as sharp in the final round as the three previous days – he only had two bogeys over the first 54 holes but accrued three bogeys alone on Sunday.
But it didn’t matter. His opening 64-65-65 slate, split between the Fazio and Champions courses, earned him an eight-shot lead with one round to go and eventually brought him to a 20-under total, which was more than enough to earn medalist honors.
