Rory McIlroy knows as well as anyone how hard it is to win a green jacket.
McIlroy held a four-shot lead entering the final round of the 2011 Masters, and then he ballooned to an 80. Five years later, the four-time major champion is still looking for a win at Augusta to complete the final leg of the Career Grand Slam.
So that's why when McIlroy was asked this week about Jordan Spieth's collapse last month at the Masters, McIlroy didn't feel much sympathy for his fellow competitor.
"He has got two majors, and he is one of the best players in the world," McIlroy said on Ireland's Off The Ball show on Newstalk.
