EDISON, N.J. – The consolation for Jordan Spieth at the PGA Championship, where he finished three shots behind champion Jason Day, was ascending to No. 1 in the World Golf Ranking.
This week’s Barclays will be Spieth’s first event atop the World Ranking, a title he said he is still getting comfortable with.
“I don't know the feeling of trying to hold No. 1 because now you're the one with the target and everyone else is chasing towards that position,” he said on Tuesday at Plainfield Country Club.
“But again, it can change in two weeks’ time, so I'm aware of that.
