PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – With a 3-under 67 in the third round of The Honda Classic, Graeme McDowell finds himself with at least a chance Sunday to win his fourth PGA Tour title.
McDowell, 36, has had a love-hate relationship with the Champion Course at PGA National, including a missed cut last year and a handful of over-par scores ranging from 73 to 76. His 67 Saturday ties his third best score around the Champion, a George and Tom Fazio design that Jack Nicklaus — architect of the course’s vaunted Nos. 15-17 “Bear Trap” – renovated in 2014.
