McCurdy, a pro who played the last of his collegiate golf at Auburn in 2012, tore through Callaway Gardens' par-71 Mountain View Course in Pine Mountain, Ga., starting his day with seven straight birdies. He went out in 8-under 28 before opening the back nine with two straight birdies and an eagle. McCurdy added another eagle at the par-5 16th before stumbling with a bogey at the par-3 17th. A back-nine 31 did the trick, however, as he ended up with the most coveted score in golf.
