Masters champ Willett back from break at The Players

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Danny Willett has played only 27 holes since he first donned the green jacket four weeks ago at Augusta National.

He’s been busy doing other things.

“Drunk more,” the reigning Masters champion said Tuesday at TPC Sawgrass.

Willett’s plan all along was to take an extended break between the Masters and The Players. But he intended to take a family vacation. Instead, most of the time was spent fulfilling media requests in England. He has a box of Masters flags waiting for him in his locker this week, waiting to be signed.
