Martin Piller wins Digital Ally Open in record fashion

Martin Piller completed a wire-to-wire victory at the Albertsons Boise Open Sunday in Boise, Idaho, winning by six shots.

Piller, who now owns four Web.com Tour victories, shot 4-under 67 in the final round at Hillcrest Country Club to finish at 28-under 256, the second-lowest 72-hole score in tour history.

Steve Wheatcroft set the tour record of 255 in the 2011 Prince George's County Open, finishing at 29 under. Daniel Chopra was 30 under in winning the 2004 Henrico County Open, but that was on a par-72 course.

"It means everything. The last couple of years have been tough," Piller said.
