Martin Kaymer Calls Tiger Woods Criticism After DUI Arrest Nasty, Disrespectful

Martin Kaymer defended fellow golfer Tiger Woods after the latter's DUI arrest and asked critics to "stop being so nasty," via Bob Harig of ESPN.com.

Kaymer made his impassioned plea on Twitter Thursday and added "there's so many comments, so many opinions. They are so unfair and so disrespectful, in my opinion."

Kaymer, who is a two-time major winner himself, pointed to the number of people Woods has inspired as a 14-time major winner and one of the best golfers in the history of the sport.

Despite his impressive resume, Woods hasn't won a major since 2008 and has dealt with health problems during the past few years.
