INCHEON, South Korea –– Everyone knew about the length of American duo of J.B. Holmes and Bubba Watson. But it was the pair's deft touch on and around the greens that led to a 3-and-2 victory over Australia's Adam Scott and Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama in Thursday's opening foursomes match of the 2015 Presidents Cup at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club.
The victory marked the first Presidents Cup point for Holmes, who is making his debut after being a last-minute substitution for the injured Jim Furyk, who had to withdraw because of a left-wrist injury that also kept him from playing in the Tour Championship.
