Lingmerth to No. 71; U.S. Open bubble watch

Sweden's David Lingmerth and Alexander Noren have moved up to Nos. 71 and 70 in the Official World Golf Ranking thanks to their wins at the Memorial and Nordea Masters, respectively.

Lingmerth's playoff victory over Justin Rose vaulted him 141 spots from 212th. Noren, on the other hand, has rocketed up 583 spots, from 653rd, since the end of last year thanks to his win and three other European Tour top 10s.

While those two remain outside the top-60 cutoff for the U.S. Open, two others - Kevin Kisner (57) and Marc Leishman (58) - worked their way to the right side of the bubble, replacing George Coetzee (61) and Marc Warren (63) with one week to go before the deadline to qualify.
