NAPLES, Fla. – Brittany Lincicome won a major at year’s start and moved into position Thursday to close out her year with a near major.
With a 4-under-par 68, Lincicome finished in a tie for third at the CME Group Tour Championship, two shots behind the leader, Austin Ernst.
“Being here in Florida, CME being one of my sponsors, I really, really want to do good, being the last event of the season,” said Lincicome, who makes her home in Seminole, Fla. “I had a good start to the year, kind of very boring middle, and it would be nice to get one more good finish before it's done.
