CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Like Rory McIlroy, Patrick Reed is in the middle of a five-event stretch that will take him from San Francisco to Northern Ireland before he is finished.
Reed, who played the WGC-Cadillac Match Play and Players Championship the last two weeks, will make his third appearance at the Wells Fargo Championship this week before heading over to England to play the BMW PGA Championship, the European Tour’s flagship event.
Reed took up European Tour membership this year and in addition to the four majors and four World Golf Championship events he must play five other events on the circuit to maintain his status.
