Haotong Li's victory at the Volvo China Open has officially put him on the Olympic radar.
Li earned his first European Tour victory on Sunday, and as a result moved up more than 100 spots in the world rankings. At No. 131, he is now the highest-ranked Chinese player in the world, and in line for one of two Olympic spots the country is expected to receive in the 60-man field in Rio.
Other players to make OWGR moves with Olympic implications were Felipe Aguilar, who is now part of the projected field after a runner-up finish in China, and Jhonattan Vegas, whose T-5 finish at the Zurich Classic moved him well up the standings.
