SPRINGFIELD, N.J. – Wyatt Worthington II remembers July 29, 2001 like it was yesterday. That was the day he received a lesson from the reigning PGA Championship winner, none other than his hero, Tiger Woods, during a Tiger Woods Foundation junior golf clinic in Columbus, Ohio.
“What do you want me to tell you about it?” he said. “I remember what I had for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I remember it all. I remember thinking this needs to be my lifestyle, and that’s the only thing I’ve been thinking about since I was at that age.”
He will celebrate the 15-year anniversary of that day when Woods, dressed in a white, baggy golf shirt, pleated gray pants and a blue Nike cap, helped him feel the proper position at the top of his swing by playing in the 2016 PGA Championship at Baltusrol Country Club.
