Lilia Vu and Bronte Law combined to shoot 5 under through the first two rounds to lead UCLA to 10-stroke lead after the first day of the Bruin Wave Invitational.
The first day of the event consisted of the players playing 36 holes, and coming back tomorrow to play the last 18.
After a sixth place finish at last week’s All State Sugar Bowl, the Bruins will try to earn their second win of the year and first of the spring.
Vu, meanwhile, is hoping she can hold on for her first collegiate win. To do that, though, she will have to hold off some stiff competition, including her teammate Law, Golfweek’s third-ranked collegiate women’s golfer.
