PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Justin Thomas saw plenty of positives from his week at the Honda Classic despite a rocky finish to his final round.
Thomas started the day in a tie for fourth place, and after a birdie on No. 15 he briefly got to within two shots of leader Adam Scott. But Thomas’ tee shot on the par-3 17th missed left and caromed into a difficult lie in a bunker, leading to a costly double bogey.
“It was a bummer. My miss the last three or four weeks has been high and right, and that’s not obviously an ideal shot for me,” Thomas said.
