WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. – Starting the day with sole possession of the lead, things got considerably more difficult for Scott Langley at The Greenbrier Classic.
After holing putt after putt during his opening-round 62, Langley managed only three birdies en route to a workmanlike 1-under 69. It was still good enough to maintain a share of the lead, as he sits alongside Jhonattan Vegas at 9 under and one shot clear of seven other players.
“It was a little tougher day for me,” Langley said. “Following up a round like a 62 is never super easy mentally, but I hung in there today, didn’t have much going for most of my round, but made a bunch of pars and was able to make two birdies coming in for my last few holes.
