Lahiri finds peace after locating spectator he beaned with golf ball

NASSAU, Bahamas — For two hours after Saturday’s third round of the Hero World Challenge, Anirban Lahiri looked anxiously for the gentleman he had hit with an errant drive at the 18th hole.

For four hours Sunday, that gentleman — “His name was Bob. I didn’t get his full name,” Lahiri said — walked and followed the golfer from India.

Talk about what a difference a day makes, Lahiri was an emotional wreck Saturday, concerned about the man’s health, yet on Sunday he was relieved to find him in good spirits.

“He was fine,” Lahiri said.
