Lahiri faces tight schedule in bid to defend title in his native Indian Open

DORAL, Fla. – India’s Anirban Lahiri could be considered a glutton for punishment.

In his ninth event on the PGA Tour this season, Lahiri finds himself in position entering today’s final round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship to post his best finish on Tour this year. Lahiri, 28, stands tied for seventh with Spaniards Sergio Garcia and Rafael Cabrera Bello at Trump National Doral Miami. After today’s play, Lahiri will catch a 9 p.m. Turkish Airlines flight for Istanbul and then his home in Bangalore.

Lahiri, an 18-time winner worldwide who is No. 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking, will compete in the Hero Indian Open.
