TURNBERRY, Scotland – Paula Creamer is suffering from a problem many golfers can relate to: She can’t take her swing from the range to the course.
It’s a confidence problem, and for the 10-time LPGA winner, a baffling one.
Like many players on Friday at a blustery and rainy Trump Turnberry, Creamer ballooned in the second round, posting a 7-over 79. She missed the cut at the Ricoh Women’s British Open. It only added to the pain felt from a lingering stomach virus.
“It’s not the club choices or things,” she said, “it’s just executing it.
