After winning twice last season, Jessica Korda entered this week's Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia with just one top-10 finish this season – and that top 10 came in her first tournament of the year in January.
However, after a final-round, 6-under 65 Sunday at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, Korda has her first victory of the season and the fourth win of her career.
"I think it was just a long time coming," Korda said. "I knew that I was getting really close and just needed to stay patient."
Korda, 22, made seven birdies in her final round and finished 72 holes at 18-under 266, four shots ahead of Stacy Lewis and Shanshan Feng.
