Lydia Ko fell short Sunday in her bid to win for the third time in her last four starts and to move back to No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Rankings.
The co-leader going into the final round of the KEB Hana Bank Championship, Ko stumbled with three bogeys in the middle of her round, finishing with an even-par 72, leaving her two shots behind the winner, Lexi Thompson.
Ko needed to finish second or better Sunday to overtake Inbee Park as world No. 1 but finished tied for fourth.
