Russell Knox rallied to win the Travelers Championship, and the impact of his victory could be felt across Europe.
Knox entered the week at No. 20 on the World Points list for European Ryder Cup qualification, but after his one-shot victory at TPC River Highlands he's expected to jump to No. 10. That puts him firmly on the bubble for Hazeltine, and after two PGA Tour wins this season, the Scot feels he has now distinguished himself as a potential captain's pick.
"I knew by winning this tournament, it's put (European captain) Darren Clarke in a very difficult position not to pick me," Knox said.
