PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico – After a marathon stretch of golf that spanned the globe, Russell Knox finally ran out of steam Monday at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba.
Knox held a share of the lead when the final round resumed, and he held a one-shot advantage heading to the final hole. But there, Knox made a bogey after driving it into a bunker and ultimately lost to Graeme McDowell on the first hole of a playoff that also included Jason Bohn.
“It was unfortunate to hit a bad drive, since ultimately it cost me the tournament,” Knox said.
