It was already good enough, but Kevin Kisner put an exclamation point on his third round at the RSM Classic, rolling in a 30-footer to close with a birdie and open up a three-shot lead.
It was a 6-under 64 overall for Kisner, as the American finished at 16 under and three clear of 36-hole leader Kevin Chappell. Graeme McDowell posted 65 for solo third at 12 under.
For Kisner it was a day of patience at the Seaside Course at the Sea Island Resort. The 31-year-old started with four pars and slowly built up two birdies on his front nine.
