Kisner (67) finds rewards staying in contention

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Kevin Kisner will gladly run through his list of near misses.

He finished two shots behind winner Russell Knox this month at the WGC-HSBC Champions, lost playoffs to Danny Lee at the Greenbrier Classic, Rickie Fowler at The Players and Jim Furyk at the RBC Heritage, and continues the search for his first PGA Tour victory.

“Man, I’m having a ball. Playing good golf is always fun,” he smiled.

Kisner is back at it this week at the RSM Classic, following a first-round 65 on the Plantation Course with a 67 on a windswept Friday that left him tied for second place and a stroke off the lead.
