ATLANTA — It all depends on who you turn to when you look for an assessment of the day’s round of golf.
For Henrik Stenson, Friday at East Lake Golf Club was a success because he increased his lead in the Tour Championship to three strokes. “Whenever you can maintain it or extend it, it is always a good thing,” said the Swede.
But for Jordan Spieth, the second round put a smile on his face because he trimmed his deficit from five to three.
Different vantage points, for sure, but there’s one glaring common denominator for both men as we survey the final 36 holes of this season-ending tournament.
