Jordan Spieth leads Tour Championship, looks to finish "dream season" strong

ATLANTA — There will be a lot on the line Sunday in the final round of the Tour Championship and the finale to the FedEx Cup playoffs, but a sense of vindication won’t be part of the equation, so far as Jordan Spieth is concerned. That he’s hit a few rough patches in the postseason, lost his No. 1 ranking, and been an opening act to Jason Day a few times doesn’t take the big picture out of focus.

“I don’t think I need (Sunday’s final round). No matter what, it’s a dream-come-true season,” Spieth said. “I don’t need tomorrow to justify (feeling good about what he’s accomplished).
