NORTON, Mass. – Jordan Spieth will stick with his Titleist 714 AP2 irons, which helped the No. 2 player in the world win the Masters and U.S. Open this year, until after the Presidents Cup.
On Thursday, Spieth confirmed which irons he will play at this week’s Deutsche Bank Championship. Last week he shot 74-73 using prototype Titleist 716 AP2 irons for the first time in competition and missed the cut at The Barclays.
The most surprising revelation came when Spieth said it wasn’t his idea to switch back – he did not even arrange to have the old clubs brought from his home in Dallas to TPC Boston.
