John Daly said Tuesday that he's recovering from "emergency hand surgery."

The two-time major champion shared the news on Instagram, saying the procedure in Tampa, Florida, went "great" while thanking his doctor "for getting me mended back." The post was accompanied by a picture of Daly in a hospital bed with his left hand heavily wrapped.

Daly, 58, didn't say what prompted the surgery but indicated it won't keep him sidelined long.

"Be back playing in no time," he wrote.

Daly, always a fan favorite, played 16 events on the PGA Tour Champions in 2024, making the cut in 15.
