KAPALUA, Hawaii – Jimmy Walker’s past experiences at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions have been up and down.
In 2014, Walker’s first appearance, he struggled like most do on their maiden voyage around the Plantation Course, but in his return trip, he lost in a playoff to Patrick Reed after shooting 21 under for the week.
In Saturday’s third round, Walker again put himself in position with a 9-under 64 and 14-under total. But unfortunately for the Texan, it's not 2015 and a 21-under finish would not likely get him close to a playoff with leader Jordan Spieth setting a blistering pace of 24-under through 54 holes.
