Jimenez keeps rolling with 68 in BMW PGA opener

Miguel Angel Jimenez didn’t need any mid-round theatrics to steal the spotlight at the BMW PGA Championship. His play was plenty good enough.

Sure, he came close to winning a car after another near-ace, but Jimenez got hot late in his round Thursday to shoot 4-under 68 and share the early lead at Wentworth.

The 51-year-old Spaniard, fresh off a T-2 last week at his home opener, went out in 34 and then made four birdies in his last six holes to vault near the top of the leaderboard.

His play has been all-or-nothing over the past few months – his only two top-30s over his past six starts have been in the top seven.
