DESTIN, Fla. — Sewanee senior Emily Javadi was in a class of her own Sunday at Sandestin's Baytowne Golf Club.
The Chattanooga, Tenn., native was the only player in the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational field to shoot a round in the 60s or even under par. She made four birdies on the front nine en route to shooting a 3-under 69, beating out the field average by more than 15 shots and taking a five-shot lead in the individual race.
She paved the way for Sewanee to take a three-shot lead over Washington-St.
