Japan defended its home turf at the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup in the boys and girls divisions, with the boys firing a tournament-low 13-under 200 in the final round to surpass third-round leader Sweden and win by four strokes.
“We had a target of 10 under par today and a strategy for each hole. It worked quite well,” Japanese captain Gentaro Hashida said in a release. "We are very, very happy with the outcome.”
Japan's Ren Okazaki finished with a 65 to win the individual race at 13 under. The United States finished in fourth, led by LSU signee Nathan Jeansonne, who tied for seventh.
