LANCASTER, Pa. – A night’s rest did nothing to slow down Jane Park, who returned to Lancaster Country Club early Friday morning to resume her first round of the U.S. Women’s Open and promptly struck a 5-iron to 15 feet. She rolled that in for birdie on the 14th hole to take a share of the lead and parred in to close with a 4-under 66. Park, the 2004 U.S. Women’s Amateur champion, enters today’s second round tied with Hall of Famer Karrie Webb and LPGA sophomore Marina Alex.
Park, 28, said she didn’t mind a bit coming back out for the 6:45 a.
