STATELINE, Nev. (AP) -- Actor Jack Wagner had five birdies in a 27-point round Friday to take a three-point lead over former hockey player Mike Modano in the American Century Championship.
The 56-year-old Wagner won the celebrity event in 2006 and 2011. He also had a bogey at Edgewood Tahoe in the modified Stableford event. Players receive six points for eagle, three for birdie, one for par, none for bogey and minus-2 for double bogey or worse.
''I think sometimes par putts, as we watch pros play, when they make a few par putts, it gives them a little momentum,'' Wagner said.
