Teodoro Soldati, 15, one of Italy's most talented young golfers, died July 16 from internal bleeding caused by a form of leukemia.

According to Italian media reports, Soldati became ill while competing in the European Boys Team Championship earlier this month in Finland. Despite running a fever and complaining of stomach pains, Soldati remained in Finland. When he returned home after the competition, he was diagnosed with fulminant leukemia.
"We lose a great guy," Alberto Binaghi, the Italian Golf Federation's coach, told Milano Today. "A sweet boy, always respectful and polite and very talented.
