Inbee Park has been cleared to play next week’s Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico City. Park, the World No. 2, withdrew from last week’s Blue Bay LPGA event in China because of a finger injury. She flew to South Korea to have doctors evaluate a cyst that had developed in her left middle finger.
Park’s manager, David Kim, said the treatment simply was to rest for the next week. Park flew back to her home in Las Vegas and will head to Mexico City next week for Ochoa’s limited-field event.
Park, 27, winner of two major championships in 2015 and four titles overall, narrowly trails Lydia Ko in the Rolex Player of the Year race and Vare Trophy, for low scoring average.
