GREENSBORO, N.C. – Billy Hurley returned to the PGA Tour on Wednesday, less than 24 hours after attending his father's funeral.
Willard Hurley Jr., 61, committed suicide last Wednesday 12 miles from the Hurley family home in Leesburg, Va.
"My dad was a great dad, and I know I'll get to see him again in heaven," Hurley said Wednesday in an interview with Golf Channel's Todd Lewis at the Wyndham Championship.
Three weeks ago, Hurley held a news conference at the Quicken Loans National and announced his father had gone missing.
