GURNEE, Ill. – Charley Hull’s teammates could see she wasn’t feeling well during a sponsor dinner Thursday night at Conway Farms.
“She thought she was going to have an asthma attack, so we all took her outside and then took her home,” Mel Reid said.
When Jodi Ewart Shadoff saw Hull at breakfast about 7 the next morning at the Merit Club, she could see Hull was still struggling.
“She didn’t look good,” Shadoff said. “She was having problems breathing.”
Hull, who led England’s sweep of the Americans with a brilliant effort Thursday, sought help and was treated by a doctor in an ambulance at the club.
