Imagine if golfers could save one shot per round. It sounds like the start of a late-night infomercial.

In reality, golf coaches and instructors often talk about this goal. PGA Tour players know that every shot matters. Over the course of the year, one shot every round equals a bunch of money. For many, it would be the difference between keeping playing privileges or not.

In college golf, the results are season-defining differences.
