HONG KONG (AP) -- Hong Kong-born Matthew Cheung moved up the leaderboard at the Asia-Pacific Amateur on Friday with a second-round 6-under 64 at wind-swept Clearwater Bay.
Cheung, who was raised in Brisbane, Australia and attends Oklahoma City University, sat two strokes behind clubhouse leader She Zihan of China, who shot 66 Friday and had a two-round total of 7-under 133.
Both had morning rounds on the picturesque peninsula course that overlooks the South China Sea.
Jin Cheng of China, who led by two strokes after the first round with a course-record 62, had an afternoon start Friday.
