NASSAU, Bahamas – While it may feel like a one-man show this week at the Hero World Challenge, there are actually 17 golfers in the field not named Tiger Woods. And after one round, they’re all chasing J.B. Holmes.
Holmes bombed his way around Albany Golf Club, rebounding from an opening bogey to shoot an 8-under 64 and take a one-shot lead over Hideki Matsuyama.
“It was a great day for me,” Holmes said. “Putted well, hit my irons well and my driver well. Pretty much all around a solid day.
